Recently, I moved house and let go of almost everything that wasn’t essential.  My life is now a few boxes, a clothes rail and some kitchen items.  What I noticed during my process was that I could breathe -properly -again. It was freeing, calming and deeply restful, something I hadn’t experienced in a long while. For the first time in years, I felt at home in myself.

Life, of course, has a way of filling every corner. Moving house overlapped with preparing for the October Autumn Series, a season that’s been joyfully full behind the scenes: coordinating practitioners, finalising venues, arranging catering, shaping content, and curating visuals. It’s a lot of moving parts, and yet the decluttering gave me exactly what I needed some space, focus and presence to meet it all with steadiness.

Why do we hold on to clutter? Often it’s habit, or the lure of quick dopamine hits from constant stimulation. Our lives can become so full of distraction that we lose the ability to stay with one thing. But reclaiming focus, one small choice at a time, feels like reclaiming energy, joy, and even a sense of self.

I’ve also noticed that To-Do lists can be deceptive, they give the illusion of doing more, but can leave us feeling behind and overwhelmed. Yet when I let go, piece by piece, things began to fall naturally into place. Simplifying my home mirrored the Autumn Series process: clearing, prioritising and shaping everything so it flows with intention.

Clutter doesn’t only live in our cupboards, it fills our calendars, our minds, our habits. By creating space physically, mentally and emotionally, I’ve found clarity and energy for what matters most. Every email, every decision, every creative detail is now given the attention it deserves. In this way, the Autumn Series isn’t just an event as it’s being built as an intentional, immersive experience from the ground up.

Presence is my practice right now. Not the long-term plan, not the bigger picture. Just one clear step at a time. And in that clarity, there’s joy, anticipation and a quiet excitement for what’s to come.

If you’re craving the same sense of spaciousness and presence, I’d love to welcome you this October. Join us for the Autumn Series Courage, Connect, Create and Calm to experience what happens when you clear space for what truly matters.
